Dr. Mike Esco has a Ph.D. in exercise physiology and over 20 years of experience in the health and fitness industry. His certifications and distinctions are from some of the most prestigious organizations in the field, such as the American College of Sports Medicine (Certified Exercise Physiologist [EP-C], Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist [RCEP], fellowship status [FACSM]) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (Certified Strength and Conditioning Practitioner with Distinction [CSCS*D]). His research contributions have resulted in over 200 full-text and abstracted publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has also written for many mainstream sources on various topics related to current fitness trends, home-based exercise, and wellness product reviews (just to name a few). He is a public speaker, having presented and lectured at numerous local-to-international events covering a range of fitness-related issues.
As a fitness trainer/consultant, Mike works with a variety of clients in one-on- one and small group settings, through in-person and online interactions. Because of his strong educational background and knowledge base, he can tailor exercise programs that are specifically designed to help anyone reach their unique fitness goals. The approach he takes to fitness training does not involve simply counting sets and reps. Instead, he teaches his clients the principles needed to make permanent lifestyle changes.
