Some history and tips

I love to eat healthy foods, delicious foods. In an effort to avoid tasteless foods, I have come up with many recipes, including a variety of smoothies. They are not only delicious, they are also super simple to make.

Before you begin your smoothie journey:

  • I do recommend you invest in a high-speed blender for the best results.
  • Do prep your fruits and veggies to make the process even more smooth
  • Do leave room for error and adjustments

I personally don't add sugar to my smoothies. If weight loss is your goal then avoid the sugar. Just allow time for your taste buds to adjust to the sweetness of the sugar content already in fruits. You may add a banana to any of these smoothies for a sweeter and creamier texture. Also, you may need to add extra water, milk, or juice to adjust consistency to your liking. These smoothies can also be turned into bowls by reducing the liquid you add to them. You can add chopped fruits for a delicious smoothie bowl.

Tips for weight loss

  • Replace a meal with a smoothie. I usually do this in the morning, but you can have your heavier meals early and smoothies at night, it is your choice.
  • Keep your smoothies under 350 calories(don't go too fancy). As long as your smoothies are mostly fruits and greens you will be good.
  • Limit yourself to one full cup of smoothie. If you are hungry, just drink water and wait at least two hours for your next meal

Why is it not working?

One of the best ways I find these smoothies to be helpful for weight loss is by also cutting down on bad carbs and sugar. Drinking the smoothies and not making lifestyle changes will not give you the results you desire. You need to eat differently and also, make sure you incorporate some form of exercise into your daily routines.

My favorite Smoothie

Pineapple and Mango Smoothie

What you will need:

  • 1/4 cup pineapple
  • 1/4 cup mango
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 1/2 cup of your choice of liquid(nut milk, regular milk, or water)

How to prepare it:

  • in a high-speed blender, blend all ingredients
  • enjoy

Fat Blasting Green Smoothie

What you will need:

  • 1/2 of a medium cucumber
  • 1/2 cup of kale
  • 1/2 cup of spinach
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 cup of orange juice or water
  • mint or parleys(I use mint) to taste

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend to a smooth finish.

Strawberry and Blueberry Smoothie

Very Berry Smoothie

What you will need:

  • 1/2 cup of strawberries
  • 1/2 cup of blueberries
  • 1 cup of almond milk(or milk of choice)
  • 1 ripe banana

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend to smooth finish. This is great when you desire something sweet.

      I'm not really interested in losing weight, but I do love a good smoothie. These recipes look fantastic for anyone, regardless of whether or not they're actively dieting!

      People look at me sideways when I say I put parsley in mine, but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. I think it's delicious.
