It may not seem like you’re doing much, however, walking is an extremely effective workout and this fitness trainer claims that walking 10,000 steps everyday burns approximately 500 calories daily. Because one pound of body fat equals 3500 calories, you could potentially lose one pound a week.

Of course this is all contingent on a variety of factors including the intensity of your walking routine, such as if you are power walking or maybe using added weights, but it’s seems plausible.

What we love about this walking routine is that it’s not too complicated. You can potentially achieve this goal just by simply going throughout your day handling errands, however, when you work out with intent, it’s more effective.
