Coach Explains Easy Way to Test Stomach Acid at Home

All you need is a little baking soda.

If you experience stomach ulcers quite frequently and as a result are on medication or want to try and test for the cause of ulcers, then it may be necessary for you to complete a stomach acid test.

Of course you can go into your doctor’s office to do this, however there is an easy and more convenient way to do this according to TikTok content creator and ThetaHealing coach @thetaorganics.

In order to test your stomach acid at home, all you need to do is put a quarter teaspoon of baking soda in a small glass before filling your glass halfway with water and stirring to dissolve. Next, will be a timed portion of this test that is required: You’re going to drink the liquid and from the time that the liquid is inside of you, you’re going to see how long it takes for you to belch.

The time you’re looking for is three to five minutes. If you are over the three to five minutes, that means you have low stomach acid and if you are burping a lot before the three minutes, that means you may have a lot of stomach acid.

Even if you don’t have ulcers and are simply curious about the amount of acid in your stomach, this test will be great to try at home!
