Brain Specialist Shares Food That Helps Reduce Risk of Dementia

Are you concerned about cognitive decline later in life? Would you eat something twice a week, if it would help you reduce your risk of developing dementia? TikTok content creator and brain-based chiropractor @drclintsteele shares some interesting research on lowering our dementia risks. This is a very easy thing to do, for better brain health.

You might be eating this superfood already!

We can get on board with this mind-strengthening food. We love strawberries, and we would be thrilled to eat them to help keep our minds in check. He tells us that eating just two servings a week of strawberries is enough to lower our risk by 34%. Wow! That’s a huge benefit for just eating such a tasty fruit. He tells us the important nutrients found in strawberries are also found in blueberries and other brightly colored fruits and vegetables.

The audience was happy to have this great information. Viewer @tk81223 asked, “Are Alzheimer’s and dementia interchangeable? I thought they were different things.” And @drclintsteele replied, “Alzheimers is a type of dementia. There are several types of dementia.” Good to know. Viewer @jburtovoy inquired, “I put a cup of frozen strawberries/blueberries in my morning protein shake. Is frozen just as powerful as fresh?” The doc replied, “Good question. I have not seen any research on it, but would guess fresh is best and may not be much difference. I do the same as you. Keep it up.” Viewer @preilly5 added, “Good news. If only I could remember to buy them.” Ha! Us too, maybe that’s a sign we really need them.

We’re always happy to be reminded about foods high in antioxidants and their potential benefits. They really do seem to be a fix for so many things!
