Fitness is ever-evolving and with the aid of modern technology, it is no longer necessary to spend money on an expensive gym membership to get fit and achieve your fitness goals. There are numerous apps and streaming services available, but most will put a lofty dent in your wallet. If you are looking for a more budget-friendly option or want to try a workout before you dive in and pay for a program, YouTube is the perfect place. Whether you are on the go or looking to switch up your normal fitness routine, YouTube is a wonderful resource with much to offer.

Working out at home is brilliant, and taking advantage of all that YouTube has to offer just makes sense. There are fitness channels for any and all health and fitness goals, making it easy for anyone to workout in the comfort of their own home.

I've been working out at home for almost a decade. Traveling, staying in hotels, and moving takes its toll, and it can be difficult to pop in a DVD and workout. In addition, I had to be mindful of my family's budget. Keeping all of that in mind, YouTube quickly became my go-to for fitness over the past few years. I have tried many fitness channels in my quest for exercise variation. In that process, a few channels have stood out and I continue to utilize them in my fitness regimen. These are currently my favorite five channels.

YouTube Fitness Channels for Women

  1. P.Volve
  2. Athlean—XX for Women
  3. Abby Pollock
  4. Body by Simone
  5. POPSUGAR Fitness

You should always consult your physician before beginning any fitness or nutrition program.

1. P.Volve

I discovered P.Volve a few months ago in a fitness Facebook group. One of the girls had switched to this workout method and created a post to share her results. I did a little research on the method and tried out one of the videos on their YouTube channel. I was hooked!

Stephen Pasterino is the founder and based his innovative method on his background in physical therapy. He focuses on slow, controlled movements that work the muscles in a different way than traditional fitness. The result is a killer workout that leaves you feeling energized, flexible, and amazing. The movements take a little time to get used to, but the workouts are easy to follow and will have you toned in no time!

2. Athlean—XX for Women

After a reoccurring shoulder injury, I changed my focus and approach to fitness. I wanted to start at the beginning, working on physical therapy, concentrating on good form, and building strength. In my quest, I came across Athlean—X for men. Jeff is a physical therapist and a personal trainer with amazing credentials. I found a lot of valuable information on his channel, but ultimately his channel is geared toward men who want to build muscle. After browsing his website, I came across Athlean—XX for Women. This channel has a variety of workouts as well as fitness and health information just for us ladies. It has helped me focus on exercises to build strength as well as achieving my other long-term fitness goals.

3. Abby Pollock

Abby Pollock is a breath of fresh air in a world of former bikini competitors turned Instagram models and YouTubers. She tackles all the fitness questions and concerns that women have, breaking down each into three parts: the issue, the science, and a solution.

Abby is a mechanical engineer who found her passion in fitness. She discusses all things health and fitness, sharing actual scientific studies, and explaining it all in terms everyone can understand. She offers practical solutions that anyone can implement into their routine.

4. Body by Simone

Dance has always been a part of my life. I took lessons as a child for several years and I would spend hours in my room, choreographing. I even took a few dance classes in college. I always gravitate to dancer-inspired workouts, which ultimately led me to Body by Simone.

Simone de la Rue is a dancer who built an incredible fitness method, focusing on building a foundation that would prevent against injuries and keep her and her audience entertained and motivated. Her workouts are so much fun! Most involve simple dances that anyone can learn, alternating with bits of toning. It's a great way to get your cardio and strength training all in one!

5. POPSUGAR Fitness

This is one of the best fitness YouTube channels in existence. POPSUGAR Fitness gives you access to all the latest trends and the hottest fitness trainers. You can try out a new method you've heard about or find something fun to switch up your current routine. With a wide range of available videos, from dance cardio and boxing to toning all areas of the body, there's something for everyone, no matter your level of fitness.

This is a great choice for fitness videos. I am limited due to 2 back surgeries that didn't full fix the problems, but I still need to do some exercise. I think the first video would be something to try. Thanks for a nice choice.
