Workout at Home: 5 Amazing YouTube Fitness Channels for Women
Whether you are on the go or looking to switch up your normal fitness routine, YouTube is a wonderful resource with much to offer. It is no longer necessary to spend money on an expensive gym membership in order to get fit and achieve your fitness goals.
Working out at home is brilliant, saving time and money. I've been working out at home for the past five or six years. However, it wasn't until a few years ago that I discovered how valuable a resource YouTube is. Traveling, staying in hotels, and moving takes its toll, and it can be difficult to pop in a DVD and workout. In the process of all that, YouTube quickly became my go-to for fitness.
Since then, I have been using YouTube as a fitness resource regularly. I have tried many fitness channels in my quest for exercise variation. Over the past few years, a few channels have stood out and I continue to utilize them in my fitness regimen. The following five channels are my favorites.
1. Tracy Campoli
I first discovered Tracy Campoli's YouTube channel three years ago, in the midst of moving. Traveling, staying in hotels, and the busy, stressful work that comes with trying to find a new place to live, left me little time and little room to workout. I needed something that was along the lines of my normal fitness routine, but required little equipment and space. A friend posted an arm workout of Tracy's in a Facebook group and I decided to give it a try. Needless to say, I loved it.
Tracy has an amazing energy that keeps you hooked for the entire video. Her workouts are dancer based and perfect for women who want to achieve long, lean muscles. Tracy has a variety of exercise videos on her channel, including HIIT and cardio, as well as targeted, toning work for abs, arms, and legs. In addition, Tracy is a lifestyle and wellness coach. She has videos that discuss a variety of topics concerning wellness, lifestyle, and inspiration.

2. Yoga With Adriene
Practicing yoga is one of my favorite things to do. I hurt my low back a few years ago and ever since, I have dealt with periods of low back pain and sciatica nerve pain. Most of the time, Icy Hot or Bio Freeze does the trick, along with careful, conscious movement. Two years ago, I was browsing YouTube for yoga flows for low back pain, and I found Adriene. I immediately connected with her. She was genuine, knowledgeable, and made the time fun.
Yoga with Adriene is all about accepting your body and finding movement that feels good. Adriene has a variety of yoga videos available, including the amazing Foundations of Yoga series. These videos break down popular poses to show you proper form, variations on the posture, and how to get in and out of the posture. If you have ever been curious about yoga, but never tried it, I would definitely recommend trying a Yoga with Adriene video.

3. Bad Yogi
I actually came across Bad Yogi last year, on Facebook, during the Original 30 Day Yoga Challenge. I participated in the month long challenge and absolutely enjoyed it! I've been following Bad Yogi ever since.
Erin keeps it simple and breaks down how to get into different postures. She makes the time on the mat fun and keeps it easy, with variations for every level. Her yoga videos on YouTube are kept short, which is great for people who are busy. In addition, Erin posts inspirational and sometimes funny videos, as well as Q and A's on Wednesday, where she answers a question from one of her subscribers. There is something for everyone at Bad Yogi.

4. Tone it Up
A couple years ago, I was invited by an old friend to take part in a Fall Fitness challenge, hosted by Tone It Up. Always up for a fitness challenge, of course I said yes. It ended up being a lot of fun and I made quite a few friends as a bonus.
Tone It Up is one of the best brands for women. The trainers are Karena and Katrina, who are best friends, down to earth, and just overall beautiful, amazing women. Doing one of their workout videos is like working out with your girlfriends. Tone It Up is all about women supporting other women and it's a complete lifestyle. They have a variety of workouts available on their YouTube channel, as well as their website, and they have a nutrition plan that complements the exercise, really giving you the best results. I highly recommend checking out their channel and their website. It's amazing!

5. The Fitness Marshall
Dancing is one of my favorite activities. Growing up, I took lessons. I loved watching Paula Abdul and Janet Jackson music videos and I would try to learn their choreography. Despite having nothing to do with my majors, I took quite a few dance classes in college.
So when I came across a Fitness Marshall video on YouTube, I had to check it out. One video turned into an entire playlist, and before I knew it, I had done an entire cardio workout.
The Fitness Marshall creates fun, sassy dances that are easy to follow. He breaks down the moves and has an amazing energy that keeps you motivated to dance. It's a great way to get your heart pumping, your body moving, and to burn calories.
